FM Taye Confers with US Special Envoy for Sudan

Addis Ababa August 2/2024 (ENA) Foreign Minister Ambassador Taye Astke- Selassie received and held discussions with the US Special Envoy to the Sudan, Tom Perriello, at his office today. 

The two sides discussed regional issues including the current situation in the Sudan.

According to Foreign Affairs Ministry, the two officials have also expressed the need to have peace and stability in the Sudan.

Foreign Minister Taye, briefed the envoy about Ethiopia's Prime Minister efforts to put an end to the conflict in Sudan.

Both parties agreed to continue working together in bringing a lasting peace.
